LA Times put this slide show together along with the radio traffic of firemen that were forced to deploy their shelters during the Santiago fire. Give it a second or two to start on its own. The photos were taken by a photographer on scene as it was happening.

Some may question the need for deployment, or why they were in the position they were, but they are all here today and no one was hurt, so my hats off to the person that made the decision to deploy when they did.
Must have been some scary times waiting for the fire to blow over.

what test?
well I was looking forward to getting through it this week, but I was informed yesterday by HR and training all the dates are being redone so that everyone can get thier game faces on after the fires... my schedule is a focking mess now... between kids, side biz and wanting to be home and regular work schedule with an ot or two... arggggggg
oh well, guess I get more time to let it sink in too.
so glad none of our guys were injured on that shelter deployment, I walked that area a couple days later and it is not easy to see how things got so scary so fast...

Glad to hear everyone is OK, whether they really need to deploy or not they were all able to go home, that's the important part. Hope I never find myself in one of those friggen things.....
