I may be a Jet guy, but that looks like a Hondo GT deck runner bottom, dont realy think they go left @ speed very well, but hey!...i would sure get a kick watching someone try to!

I believe the Bad Company Hondo sprint (George Woods Jr.) set the 5mile/3lap record of 114 (lap avg) back in 83 and it still stands.

i spoke to the seller he said it was a runner ,but has been ground down to a flat.

The boat is a sprint bottom, GT deck . You must have misunderstood him or you had Runner on your mind. The Hondo Circle boats that George Woods drove were all 4 strake legal boats, Sanger had a runner bottom boat that was used in circle races but Hondo had a Sprint Bottom . George Woods did some bottom work to this boat , he flattened the strake because it didn't act like he wanted . Gordon Jennings also was going to drive a Hondo Sprint at one time but he was Partial to the Biesemeyer Hull. Jimmy D.

I think a freind of mine in Fresno is going to buy the boat. The owner did say that George Woods changed the bottom on the boat.

Vdriveman, the Cole is in Northern Calif and soon to be in Northern Idaho. The buyer is moving and just happens to be the father of a cop in Moscow , Ida. Gary , The guy that owns the Hondo K-boat may not have a clue what a runner bottom is , or thought a strake was a runner, but lets say the bottom of the boat is not original. Did it work? Don't know! There is some reason the race team let that boat go and got another Hondo Sprint! Jimmy D.
