Glencoe made a ton of boats in the 1970's. They are not the best made hulls. If I were starting a resto job, I would find a better made hull.
If you are looking into restoring a 1970's hull, I would go with one of the following:
Hallett,Schiada,Eliminator,Rogers and my choice
Spectra.
RiverDave has a Spectra 20 hull for sale, you wont find a better 20 foot daycruiser!
Good Luck,
Brent

Spectrabrent, perhaps you could tell him where Glencoe went wrong in the process of building the boat? that way he could try to fix it. Sounds like he already has the boat and is interested in restoring it. Since the boat has lasted this long already, can it really be that bad?
65+, perhaps you could post some pics of the hull, let us know of any questionable places on the boat that concern you-that way we can help you formulate a plan of action.
Good Luck.

Hoss,
Aside from the Southwind tunnel dragster, I would put Southwind hulls about a notch above the Glencoe.
Good Luck,
