You need to add extensions though. Add these at the least:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/26
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1122
If you use eBay alot:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5202
cool. Thank you. :D

I was assuming you had Netscrape installed since you were getting a Netscrape error installing firefox addons...
AOL owns Netscape. Netscape is based on Mozilla.
Mozilla has it's hands in at least 3 popular browsers directed at windooze users.
Mozilla, Mozilla Firefox, and the cooperative effort with A Oh Hell and Netscape.
Anyhoooooo. :p

I do have aol on the puter but it came in the puter. Just don't use it. Would it be safe to delete it out of my files or would I screw the whole puter up.
Can you tell I am blonde and dumb.. :D :D

Not to distract you from your goals.. You're on the right track upgrading to Firefox. It's just the Netscape thing made me foam at the mouth. I hate AOL as much as I hate the Fruity Computies :D

You should be fine uninstalling AOL everything, Just be sure to do it from the add/remove programs section in the control panel . Just don't go haphazardly through your program files deleting folders.
If you're nervous about deleting anything, before you start deleting you can make a restore point in the system restore section. .Start/Programs/accessories/system tools/ system restore.
Have Fun

I switched to Firefox and really like it. The only problem I have w/Firefox is I cannot download some information that involve Windows applications/software. You have to have Explorer for those.

No way around it - if you do a lot of surfing/research then you'll be using IE, Firefox and Opera. They ALL have little bugs and quirks, some websites don't like anything except for IE (which is why ya gotta keep it around).
I like Firefox - but when a page is not loading fast, it stalls the browser, which is pretty fawking annoying.
And careful with Google products like desktop. I really like being able to search my computer in about 10 seconds, but it seriously slows down IE since it indexes your page visits and search requests.
