I go to the desert to get away from people. To many idiots and accidents waiting to happen there on big weekends. I rather go on mid week and have the place to myself. But that's just me.

I still love the big weekends, so many nice high dollar machines to look at, crazy chicks, and dumb guys doing dumb stuff. :D
I'll keep my busy weekends to enjoy, and go on the small weekends to ride ;)

Nice but, River is better...
During the summer I always say, "I can't wait for the dunes, way better than the river!"
And during the winter I say, "I can't wait for river season, it's so much better than the desert!"

This is perfect, the exact reason, and many of the people that caused me to quit the dunes. I used to go with my parents 35 years ago, and it is a shame what it has become.
