View Full Version : Do you get (or give) anything for Thanksgiving at work?

Do you get from your boss or give to your employees anything for thanksgiving? I'm thinking like grocery store gift certificates or turkeys...?
I'm heading to Vons tomorrow to buy a bunch of gift cards for our guys. Ya think $25 is enough or is $50 more like it? Maybe somewhere in between? It adds up with 17 people...:eek:

Getting turkeys suck! 25 bucks to put in the gas tank for the trip to Mom@Dads rocks.;)

I had a lunch for over 125 people which included family members. It is not much in dollars but it sure makes people feel special.

Since Thanksgiving is not a traditional gift giving holiday, I think $25 is more than generous on your part. You're basically putting the turkey on the table.
Agreed.
I received a happy T.G. letter, 2 days off paid and $25. :D
I guess there is "Thanks" and "giving" in Thanks giving.

$25 is more that adequate...Grocery Store, Honey Baked Ham, Boston Market, or even ARCO... :cool:

My hubby works for a LARGE company and he gets his $25 gift card every year. We won't need it this year, but it could buy my sisters groceries for a few days.....so we always give it to her. :)

I used to get a turkey every year from work. I think I might still have one in the freezer from 2004. I don't cook much.

We rotate Turkey's or Honey Baked Ham's for our employees every other year.
They all seem to appreciate it.

I think that is a very nice gift and a $25 gift card is generous. A lot of people don't get squat for Thanksgiving from their employer.

we usually get a turkey...
but this year we got a safeway gift card for a whole $10 :mad:
