joe lakamp's ford-powered cp. this thing moves out and that man can flat out drive. he trailered a bunch of guys with 0 lights.

I thought that it was so cool having the NJBA boys at Phoenix. It was a pleasure talking to some of you guys on a racing basis, instead of a business basis, refering to when I was teching for the NJBA. Big John put me away first round, and what a gentlleman and good sport about it. My hats off to John and his team. That place is tough to run, and you all did a great job . Tom Bandy is the man. His win was priceless! I think you guys threw a curve at the normal competition, and none of us really saw it coming. This is what makes racing fun. My hats off to the red and gold cup racers!

thursdays test n tune session was interrupted briefly by a lightning storm. ihba cleared the course and everyone had to cruise down to the outramp just after i made my first pass. looked like a typical holiday weekend at the river.

Sleeper the water is very salty, leads me to believe that it creates lift from the bouyancy. All the jets seem to run a little higher at firebird. Its a weird place to race for alot of different reasons.

I couldnt honestly say what the et/speed difference is between ming and firebird because i've only raced there one time. ive heard you lose 2-4 tenths at firebird compared to ming. I had some carb work done so that might have affected my boat's et.
i was down about one to two tenths compared to ming. the mph was about the same though.
the difference for me was that with the same ride plate and nozzle angle i run at ming, at firebird had might boat kiting all the way down the track. the whole boat rode higher in the water. its probably because of the water the way chris described.
