A nice JMC frame can go for 400-700 depending on condition..
JMC bars alone can fetch 300ish...

Old school?
You mean a Stroker bike frame with Ashtabula forks, clamps, handbars, seat post, and cranks with Shimano free-wheeling rear hub type old school? Or the first mono-shock bmx frame from Yamaha old school?
Hell the first BMX bike I actually ever raced with (back in 1977) was an aluminum frame from Schwinn with Ashtabula 9" inch cranks and Rat Trap pedals, Ashtabula seat post with a custom seat (I can't remember the manufacturer right now), Ashtabula handle bars and clamps, with Plastic Tuff Wheel 5 spoke rims, Shimano free wheeling rear hub with rear hand brake, and Cheng-Chin knobby front and rear tires....I loved BMX back in the day!

There is a brand new Intense 24" cruiser complete bike on e bay for I think 250 bucks by it now. Old skool is cool but you could ride the Intense.

Here is the rectangular framed Stroker with Ashtabula components that was real popular in the early '70's.

And this is real close to the Schwinn that I raced with, except mine was an aluminum frame painted a bitchen metallic blue, and I had black tough wheels with all of the Ashtabula gear...it was a bad ass bike for its day, and it cost me almost $450 back in 1977!

The guys from VANS came to our kids school today for a really great assembly. They can do fabulous things with a bike. Now we have an autographed poster in our garage.

No f*ckin' way that bike will go for 100.00. Nothing less than 400.00
I've looked for a JMC for a long time. They fetch the most money.
Here's some of my bikes.

That is one sweet bike... Reminds me of my SE Racing P.K. Ripper, with Profile cranks (Hey I'm a Florida boy), Shimano DX pedals, ACS Rims with Bullseye hubs, I remember running a Uni seat because the seat post was so small, but being 6' tall I always wanted more leg room.... Ahhhh memories.... I still have a Robinson Amtrac with 190mm Redline Flight cranks, S&M bars, Dk stem, Crupi Racing pedals, etc... It's fun.:D

wanna read a funny thread. This is what happens when a grown up old school BMXer pairs off with a kid.

And that guy still rides every day.

That Patterson Racing is a classic. They aren't around and haven't been in how many years? I had a Hutch 24", loved it especially after racing a CW Racing cruiser for a while... How do you like your Profile?

Too classic...I still have my Webco sitting out in the garage. My boy rides it now. Suntour cranks, bullseye hubs, araya rims, CMC bars, pro-neck, comp II tires. If you ever saw the Wheaties commercial where the kid sings "Before a day on my two wheelies...I get the eaties for my Wheaties!!...dat was me. I beat out Team Mongoose, GT, and all the other greats. We filmed at the track adjacent to Ascott Stadium. Just some bragging rights I had to bring up. Originally the song was "Before a day of Popping wheelies, I get the eaties for my Wheaties."

WOW!! Talk about FLASHBACKS!! I had a JMC, ended up breaking it rather quickly and moved to a PK Ripper. FLIGHT CRANKS!! I forgot ALL about those!! I had those too with a Bullseye bottom bracket and Phil Wood hubs.
Beautiful job on the bike!! That stuff had to be tough to find!

I would love to build a couple more...maybe a G-Boy (very rare)...my JMC as a kid was pretty trick...Jim used teflon headset (no bearings) and profab forks...
Liquid Courage you have some nice bikes...that Hutch and the Patterson are very trick..

He's pretty much a mountain bike hero / legend now.
Here is some old skool Johnny T MTB footage. He was truly ahead of his time. I do have to say he ended up building the uglist downhill bike ever. It worked and people still use them. But man was it ugly.
Anyway here's John getting it done back in the early MTB days. Lighten up on the rear brake a lil Johnny!

I rode the Webco around the cul-de-sac and that plastic Kashimax seat about a year ago. It worked me over. The strain on the knees was a little much too. Definitely prefer the M2 Stumpy now days. The last time I raced it was a 16 mile downhill. It was call the Banzai here in Boise. I took home the blue ribbon. That was 13 years ago. Doh. Now I'm just a bench rider.

It is fun, and it's a good way to stay healty with out the boredom of the gym. Wife and I just got back from the Fullerton Loop.
Some real good places to ride in So Cal, some real great places out by Wicky land.
Here's a little Bootleg Canyon action out at Boulder City.

That Patterson is a 19" I built for my 13 year old daughter. I sold a 24" built Patteson I rode around for a couple of years about a year ago and just sold a 20" frame/fork CW and patterson a few months back.
I LOVE the Profile. Built it new a few years ago. Has all Profile parts. Profile 3 piece cranks, sealed polished profile hubs, profile raw bars. Only thing not profile are the Crupi peddles and the brakes. It's solid as a rock and carries my 215 lb azz over the jumps just fine:D I built that PK Ripper new in 91 too. Love that thing. Redline flights, Bullseye sealed hubs, barefoot tires....love that thing.:D

26" mountain bike wheels & tires... Its a big boys bmx bike. Go to SE's website and check out their OM Flyer. I think stock they are like $450. Bitchin bike for the price. I bought just the frame on ebay, and built it from scratch for more than double(better parts) At $450 though its a nice old mans bike, hence the name"Old Man Flyer"

4day!!

But missed the old school and rapidly realized that I'm a total gear-tard.
So, I went SS on both my bikes. One has a fork up front, the other is pure rigid. East Coasters may recognize the brand (Fat City Cycles). They are pretty old-school as well.
Here are pics of each:

Thats what I'm talking about! My brother and I both rode for a shop in Anchorage around '75-'77. I had a Mathews deal and My brother hooked up with Red Line. I built my own frames before that. Used Schwinn girls frames to start and stroked and stretched them with a Sears "pellet welder". I have some old super 8 video of us throwing back flips in 1976 into a lake, using 2 picnic tables as a ramp. I was 15-16 years old then. In 1976 the Red Line factory team came to town for a sponsored race. It was a timed downhill. I won my age group and took first overall on one of my homemade frames. They were pissed, especially when I tossed a 360 off the "widowmaker" at the beginning of my second run! Cost me my Mathews deal too, but I didn't care.
God, I miss those days. Stoned everyday, bulletproof, and not a care in the world.:D

Just about like yours. When I was working at a boat shop out of high school one of the girls needed a bike for her 12 y/o son, so I gave it to him... She couldn't believe how expensive it was until she took it to a shop to have it repaired... Those Bullseye hubs were trick! I was always buying stuff for that bike when I was a kid. Remember how those cranks arms would click when they got loose? Lol.

Nice Table Top! I'll have to get over to my mom's and see if she still has the pictures and trophies. I used to race my Schwinn against the Stroker and Reline guys, and crush them! They were still building the heavy steel framed bikes in '77, and that aluminum Schwinn with the 9" cranks was just to easy to pedal around the track in Oceanside....good times for sure!
