If you don't need to go higher than 1366x768, then go for it, just don't sit any closer than 3 feet, you probably wont like it any closer.

It will not look as sharp if sitting right in front of it, if it was a higher res like 1920x1080, a 1080p LCD, then it would look clearer and sharper. Take a laptop to the store and hook it up and see how you like it, that is what I would do.

LCDs have gaps between the pixels, the biggest out of all digital displays technologies, there for, if you sit real close to a 32" LCD with a res of 1366x768, the picture will look soft. Some people can live with that, some can't, it all depends on the person I guess.

Get a wireless mouse and keyboard cause sitting that close, I would suggest a real computer monitor, but that will run you 4 times as much. You are better off finding a 37" 1080p LCD HDTV that accepts and can display a 1920x1080 resolution from a computer.
