About 500 Christmas presents — most of them gathered in a bikers’ toy drive Sunday — were stolen by thieves who broke into a warehouse off Airport Road on Thanksgiving Day.
The thieves cut a hole in a heavy-duty fiberglass roll-up door and smuggled out a couple thousand dollars worth of toys for the Salvation ArmyÂ’s Angel Tree Program.
The gifts were meant for about 1,200 needy children, Salvation Army Maj. Wayne Wetter said Friday.
“Yeah, it’s the Grinch who stole Christmas here. I’m not a happy camper,” Wetter said
