Hey all, i currently have the sideway/bucket style of interior in my boat...its hella clean, but in the theft, the engine cover was ripped like crazy by those a$$holes...how much would it cost for a nice, 2-color average bucket/separate bench configuration in my boat? the interior is long enough for a bench i think because my engine is pretty far back...what did you guys pay for yours? where? thanx.

here's a pic of it how it sits right now..

Here is what my Old galaxie looked like the day I brought her home, made and glassed the seats my self...
Your boat has plenty of room for 2 bucket and bench set up, sure does make it nice for 4 people.

got probably in the neighborhood of 1000-1200 dollars in material, foam, glass, wood, screws, brackets. Labor was all free of of course.. :D

dont have the wrap around, but do have buckets with becnch in the back.its all who you in the boat at one time.mt opinion is is to have only two fiberglass seats covered and no back seat.

hey longstr....thats a great post! yeah thats exactly what i wanna do, except i have full stringers, and i guess ill just mount them right on top of them...do you have any other 'progress pics' that i could use? thanx!....did you do the vinyl all yourself? that looks pro man.

Having full stringers would make it SOOOOOOO much easier to mount the seats... :D
I did not do the sewing of the upholstery, I designed and cut all the patterns, my buddy sewed them up... :D
Here is a few more if there anything particular you are looking for let me know I got hundreds of pics of that old boat. :D
http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s101/longstr80/DSCN0755.jpg
this is a rough cut of the seats before I took belt sander and rounded the edges... trick is to vice grip the seats together an belt sand them at the same time so they are identical.. :D

In this pic you can see the bracket I had to fab up I laged them to the new floor and glassed over the edge on the floor..
http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s101/longstr80/DSCN0710.jpg
I made my rear seat come up so I could store ski rope, dock lines, and fire exthinguisher.
http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s101/longstr80/DSCN0790.jpg
Here you can see how easy it is to intergrate speakers to your seats jig saw and upholstery around the hole.

Reid,
Believe it or not, your passengers will probably have more room with your current interior configuration than they would with a bench and the buckets placed where you wont be jammed up against the dash. Just call Revo at Stitchcraft (I'm 99% sure they did the interior in your boat) and get a quote to re-cover your engine cover. You'll be $$$ ahead by going this route. Not to mention the fact that few places do the kind of work that Stitchcraft does in terms of boat interiors.

I'll bet they are high dollar stitchers too. But then that's why they are CU$TOM upholsterers.

Riverrat,
Something that I didn't think about when I had the interior re-done this year was how much room I lost by changing the interior.
We don't have a ski locker in the CP (no CP's do) so the floor has to carry the ski's and two ice chest's. The new interior lay out cost me a bunch of room. The wife is going to be asking " where's the "F"ing boat in Feb or March when I haul it out of here to have the seat's re-fitted. I'm taking up two ice chest's so we get the spacing correct.
I'm pretty sure I can pick up 8" inches on the length and at least 5 if not 6" between seat's in the open-bow and between the driver and passenger seat.
Everybit counts in a 19' boat.

yo chris..youre right. their logo is actually stiched on the buckets and does look great!...where is stichcraft? i think it would be much more worth it to get it done...i was actually thinking of getting it widened to the width of the boat, to hold various beer cans/bottles etc. lol....maybe they can make me another one...? anyone have some contact info for me? ill do a search also...thanx guys.

That's them.
I meant to post the link in my reply but just brain farted. They do run a little more than some of the other shops in So Cal (speaking with regard to one off stuff), but they do a good job.
Reid,
They can for sure do you a new rear cover, or just fix the one you have. Personally, I'd call ahead to make sure Revo is in, then go down in person and talk to him as you're going to have to bring the boat or at least the part down to em anyhow for them to be able to give you a solid quote.

Well, if I can ever hit this damn lottery maybe I'll drag my boat down there and see what they can do for me. I like the design of Reid's seats and would love to have them...
SOOOOOOOOOO Reid, go ahead and get new seats made so I can buy yours. :D :D :D I'm sure they can be made to fit my Miller.

hey everyone...has anyone done a double bench configuration in a jet boat like this? i like the bucket/bench design, but why not add a seat? i know it will limit mobility even more, but i could care less about that...it might look cool...
