Cancer has been and is all around me:( I pray they get it cured for all..I can not tell you the sadness of watching good people just wither away from an evil illiness.

That's tough to take. My sympathies to you both.
You're in an important position- helping her thru this.

We can only hope they come up with a cure for it. Part of what is so shocking is how quickly it spread. She was diagnosed with cancer back in June or July.
The only good thing is that she is now in a better place and doesnt feel pain.

Sorry about your loss. It helps me to always to refer to my mom as "She is in heavan now" It reminds me that she is in a better place now and not in the pain that she was in the end.

My condolences to you and your gf. Cancer has taken a few in my family and one can only hope it takes our loved ones in a hurry and prevents the long drawn out suffering that some have experianced.

Thoughts and Prayers out to you and all who have been impacted by this.
Cancer took my father when he was 57 and I was 22.
I know the pain you speak of, it is not easy to watch, it makes the end a blessing in a sad way.

My gf of 10 years lost her older sister to cancer today.
Thank you to all for your wishes regarding my sister. She was just 49 years old and had so much hope in her self for a recovery. This cancer was extremely rare for someone of her age. Super aggressive as well from what we saw. She was diagnosed the day my second grandson was born last June. Had very few symptoms prior to the diagnosis so was a shock to all of us. Three weeks ago they said it metastisized throughout a lot of the soft tissue areas of her body. I saw her right after that and she still had some limited hope. She went severely down hill only in the past four days. And now its over other than the pain and some relief that we dont have to see her this way anymore. She left a husband and three children, luckily in their early 20's each but still, each one was still living in the home and totally devastated. My niece had to be sedated because she was lying in bed with her mother as she took her last breath. Im numb. Thanks again for the wishes from all of you even though I know none of you, and thanks for allowing me to ramble. The hard work now begins.

Rich, for bagpipers call OLearys Sidebar in Ventura. (805) 644-4619. They hire bagpipers every St Pattys Day and every 6 months after that. They should be able to give you a number. I know they use local people from around here.

RR, sorry to hear the news. Amazing how some people can survive years, while others get so little time. Its a brutal disease.
