do any of you guys seal your tanks? I just spent the last two days sanding my saddle tanks and man were they nasty. I thought i would get a can of clearcoat or something and spray them so they will be easier to keep clean
Or is there something else i can use, or something that you use?
Whats the secret?

Mine are covered up with a panel. I wouldn't clear coat them next time cleanup would be a b*tch.
sometimes a little WD40 sprayed on a cloth then wiped on will prevent aluminum from oxidizing.

I took mine to a radiator shop and had mine coated. it was a little pricey but my tanks are awsome now

If you are talking about the outside of the tanks, you can use West Systems epoxy resin or something similar. Not only will they stay shiny with the epoxy on them it will also protect them.
