Saturday Night Fever should be number #1. The greatest movie and soundtrack of all time, hands down. Both created one of the most memorable pop culture crazes of all time. Oldschool disco still rules.
Hard Days Night did the same, but to a lesser extent.
Purple Rain is also great, probably belongs at #2/3
Pulp Fiction should be in the top 5 (as it is), but so should Grease.
1. Saturday Night Fever
2. Purple Rain
3. Hard Days Night
4. Grease
5. Pulp Fiction
There, it feels better to me now :)

How about Less than zero, The Crow, The Sopranos, Miami Vice(The original show).
Sapranos and Miami Vice (with the great Glenn Fry songs) were TV shows...this is about "rock" movie soundtracks.

Had a blast doing it!! Glad all went off safe and looking forward to another safe weekend. Do we know what kind of space we get for the "Block Party" on Thursday? I'm open for setup if help is needed.

Good call on the Last Waltz, great combos of people.
I guess "Chicago" doesn't belong here.
"The Song Remains the Same" sucked it hard. The band was so wasted "Black Dog" sounded like a lullabye. It was also unwatchable as a movie.

I'm with C-2. How is SNF not at #1? One of the greatest selling albums of all time, and due to a movie.
On another note:
Flashdance? Hated it, though several hits.
16 Candles
Breakfast Club

Definitly, But I though "a thousand psycic wars" was the best track.
"You see me now a veteran.. of a thousand psycic wars"
Don't forget the Cameron Crowe movie "Friends" with Bridgett Fonda and Matt Dillon. Lots of Alice in Chains and Soungarden, as well as Smashing Pumpkins.
In fact, Pearl Jam members had roles as Matt Dillons band.
It is a good disc.

You know, I never saw Flashdance back in the day. Not once, not ever.
Until about two years ago, and I never realized how easy on the eyes that cutie was. Yes, cheeseball movie, but it has it's moments.
-
I recently saw Around the World - the entire soundtrack and movie are wrapped around Beatles songs - in fact if you like the Beatles, it's a great, artsy-weirdo type movie.
