I am really tired of the same old rooster shots. Let's get some new roosters in here. :D I am tasking all of you with a diverter to go out there and take some pictures. Come on, if you have a running boat, you owe it to the rest of us.

OK here are some roost pics from el rio on Memorial day. Mind you the photographer (froggystyle) was quite....ahem.....Parkerized at the time so you don't get the full effect. More of an anti roost series. This was the boats first river trip, and was not without problems, but in the end was alot of fun. I get the carbs back from Ty in a few weeks, and then I'll be ready to run it long time.

wow. if i didnt just recieve my new place diverter in the mail today i would be bummed. kinda like putting salt in the wound... ive been wanting this thing for a long time and the time has finally come. its going on this weekend, and will be run the next. ill be sure to take some pics too. thanks for all the great pics.... Oddly enough the roost ATTRACTED jet skiers - they kept going back and forth through the roost...

Thats funny because I attracted 3 jetskiers on friday and I almost blew one off his ski eek! I didnt even know he was back there eek! I left the tail up about 6ft up and gunned it. I know his eyelids were hurtin' because he stopped real fast :D I didnt do it on purpose but then again he shouldnt have been that close :D

I was surprised by one of the ride characteristics of running with the jetovator all the way up. Yes, it does slow the boat down a bit, but on rough water it helps cushion the landings. With the nozzle dead center the boat was smacking the waves pretty hard, but with it up you could feel the boat lift into the air a bit and kind of glide back down. The boat is big and rather heavy, so not really any chance of it wanting to catch too much air...

Hey Jungle Boy, Are you still going to make it out this way this summer? Can't see it. I'm home from work on Aug 1, then out houseboating from 4 - 9. Then we are getting ready for the World Championship race on Aug 16 - 23, then back to work 26th. We are heading up there a week early to do some pre-running and testing. I'd love to get down there and do some boating with some of the guys on this board but there never seems to be enough time to do all the things that need done. I'm trying to have a 40 x 60 shop put up before winter sets in, so that will look after my fall season too. My garage is way getting too small for the boats and beer fridge.
