My Sister in-law is a Manager for the National Wildlife Federation at their HQ Missoula MT so I can vouch this is real.
The Ecology Center, National Wildlife Federation and NRDC have collaborated on this new service with the support of several key funders including: the Overbrook Foundation, the Merck Family Fund, and the Kendeda Fund. In the first two weeks -- 51,000 people have signed up and have stopped 2.7 million catalogs in total -- about 1 million pounds of paper annually -- equivalent to 7,000 trees or getting roughly 300 cars off the road for a year. Good start.
