I just got a phone call from a guy that claims he wants to advertise my boat in 11 different places (internet, magazines, etc.) and all these ads will run until it sells. In addition, his potential buyers will be approved for up to 100% of my sale price. I get all this for one set up fee of $299.00.
I have sold in the past 2 cars on consignment and have paid way more than $299.00 fees and price reductions.
Does anyone have experience with one of these companies? Did it work?
Here is the link to the Spam section for my boat:

I've found nothing beats a simple ad in the trader.
Only 2 reasons your boat won't sell in the trader.
Either priced too high, or no interest in it.

I'd agree with that.

I have had them call me as well, I said sell it first and I will gladly give you the $300.00. They would not do it.

Boattrader.com
Offshoreonly.com
***boat of coarse : classified and drive people nutz in spam section (worked for me)
Craigslist if you feel like it..
I signed up for like 2-3 other $50 sites and they did nothing i'm sure I am big on marketing but theres only so much you can do. If someone is looking on boattrader.com they may not be on OSO.com but they sure as heck better be on at least one of them if they plan on buying a used boat.
The $299 up front fee guys that call you non stop i'm sure are full of crap and making tons of money calling everyone selling anything in all of the traders.

Thanks! I have also posted on Craigs List. Now all I have to do is add it to Boat Trader and recycler.
I think I will wait before i drop $299 with this guy.
Thanks for info!

we did the 299 crap and never heard from them again. Did find our add accidently on some obsure site and didn't know how it got there. Then we remember the assclown that took our money for nothing. Never got any calls from all of his 100% approved buyers.
Save your money.

We might as well start bumping this thread as we do in the "Spam" section.
So here are a few letters we don't usually see in the sandbar...
