Is the pump a WJ

BrendellaJet
12-06-2007, 05:24 PM
Yes, pump is a WJ. Stage 3 blueprint by Jack McClure. Shoe, rideplate, berk adapter, flowed intake & bowl, beautiful aluminum B impeller, custom stainless loader.

A couple people have inquired if I'd be willing to separate motor & pump. At this point I would. The only problem going that route would be that the bottom work is tied in with the pump intake via the entry, so some of that would be damaged. Easily repaired though...
If someone is looking at this and are bummed about the Jacuzzi pump, dont be, its a mixed flow pump and unless you are going to run a thousand hp through it, I doubt you could tell the difference with all the work that has been done to the pump. If I need to put my motor back in it to sell it to a doubter I might consider it.
with 800 hp this boat flies.

Ive got a crank, rods, pistons(.060). Maybe I should barter some work on your boat and we can swap for that block...I've got enough parts from my old motor to put a long block together...
But int the end all the work and effort for a ne wmotor and Id have to let it go for 30 cents on the dollar....
If someone is interested in this boat with a motor, let me know, we might be able to make that happen.

I have no idea. Waited too long to sell it apparently. All the free money dried up from the real estate boom and now I cant sell this thing for 30 cents on the dollar.
Thanks for the bump.

Thanks. 5 years of busting my ass and way too much money. Not perfect, but its got a lot of nice work done to it and its a safe fast boat. Not some hoopty that you have to be worried about. Hauls ass & goes straight when you get out of it.
If it doesn't sell that may be a blessing. I know I'll end up with another one day, Just need to find a place to keep it.
There are a couple of guys coming to check it out this week, but you know how that goes...I may end up circle racing this thing afterall...

what would you be looking to get for it with a mild cruiser motor?

BrendellaJet
12-10-2007, 07:33 PM
I dont know to be honest. Kind of depends on what YOU want. If Im gonna put together a motor for the boat, its going to be built in collaboration with the buyer so they get what they want & KNOW whats inside so they aren't getting taken. Thats gonna add several grand to the price minimum.
OR, you could locate a motor from someone like Squeezin Spectra on the Boards and I help you install it...It would probably be a lot cheaper to buy a motor thats already been run from somone on the boards, that way you aren't paying retail for it, cuz If Im building a motor you'd be paying retail-Ill take it in the shorts on the boat, but now a motor to, ya know? Lots of nice motors floating around that are good deals.
Just so you know, this boat charges with good power. It runs fine with low power too, but it smiled at me every time I mashed the gas with 800 hp in it. Buying something already built allows you to step up the program a little.

obnoxious001 on here is another good source for engines. He had a deal on here that he would build a (.030 over) 454 for around 3 grand. Having been in this boat before I think that would be a nice (safe) combo.
