What is the weaskest link in a Brova 1 drive.

In mine it was the input shaft, not the U-joints, just the shaft twisted. I put on a new one and voila, good to go. 13 years now, same drive on VERY high H.P.

Assuming you mean a std. Bravo I and not an XR. It depends on the type of abuse it sees. Four week links are: The gear housing (lower) verticle shaft, the fwd. & rev. gear floor where it meets the clutch area, the propshaft, and the aluminum towers in the Driveshaft housing and top cap.

First one to break. :D Sorry couldn't help myself. I new better but couldn't stop myself. :devil:
I agree with BDMar. Each model or generation of bravo has its weak link. Some can break any drive even a six if abused. Just my .02

What is the weaskest link in a Brova 1 drive.
It depends on which Bravo 1, horsepower, rpm and application.
Standard rated to 400hp
to XR 600 ft/lbs
I have run them with more and some can break them with less:)
