anyone have a BBC distrbutor ?

I just put a tunnel ram on my motor and realized that a HEI wont fit due to the large cap, was wondering if anyone out there might have a dual point distributor that they might want to get rid of!

I have a buddy of mine that has a new mallory duel point dist. i can prob. get for next to nothing.....another thing small block and big block use the same dist. depends on year....I will see what he wants for it and let you know

Sorry I didnt catch up with you! i was installing the motor! I ended up cutting the rear mounts and fabricating some brackets to the housing. It came out nice My motor sits at a bit of an angle though, but the driveshaft is straight and everything so Im hoping it will work ok if not I'll drop down the front mounts about a half a inch. im picking up some headers from a friend on Monday he is at Avia with a bunch of other guys from the net, so when he gets back off they come and on my boat. I have a older single point distributor but want a dual one, I am very interested I have to see if I can scrape up some money for yours I just bought a house by Canyon lake and am getting married in 3 weeks so Im tight for cash right now, but I'll see what I can do! You really need to have the engine at the same (or as close as possible) angle as the jet! The universal will not like fighting the different angles.
Congrats on the soon to be married and purchase of the house :D ! I'm nowhere near that but would someday like to have that happen!

hey harlem..
from what you stated ....i would stay away from points and go with the msd..i can get you the dp set up if thats what you want but you would gain alot more from the msd..
