MPD finished the work on my pump and i sent it to Embee Coatings in Costa Mesa to have it powdercoated red to match the boat.

Jack detailed a bronze impeller and an Aquamet shaft for me along with the bowl work.

I had the bowl and all the related accessories powdercoated along with the mounting hardware for the motor.

its not the waves that might break your boat. Its the drunk dudes stumbling through the parking lot that might lean up against her too hard!

Then the gel might get damaged (I know someone who can fix it :D ). She's BULLETPROOF wink

We will build it, but we have to finish our boats first. Then we can build the Tin Fishing SeaDoo Jet Ski Jump Boat.

78elminator- what did you do about your carb problems? is it all dialed in now?

78elminator- what did you do about your carb problems? is it all dialed in now? Yeah I got it dialed in, then I bought a blower. I am pulling my engine, getting new pistons to lower the comp ratio, installing a blower cam, refreshing the block and rebuilding the pump with a SS impeller. Should be a little quicker now.

damn justin you aren't messing around. How fast was she before you pulled to motor out and how much boost do you plan on running with the blower?

damn justin you aren't messing around. How fast was she before you pulled to motor out and how much boost do you plan on running with the blower? You know, I never got a base line. Like a dipshit I just kind of winged it. I am a decent judge of speed and I am not a big time exagerater either. On my way out to Elsinore, I was going 80, 90 and 100 in my truck. I would reference objects and count because I don't own a GPS. Anyway, when I got on the lake, I did the same thing and I guessed my boat was running in the 90s. I know this is completely unscientific, but I really believe it was that fast. I know water speeds. I grew up waterskiing and know the difference between 40 and 45 and 50 like they were all WORLDS apart. Anyway, I suppose people would say that I might be full of shit and I understand that because nothing states the facts more than a GPS. The previous owner said the boat was radared at 101 on a good hot day on some lake in AZ, but then he said a lot of things. I don't think I ever made it go that fast. I even emptied out the hull and got in it at Elsinore when it was total glass. I stood on the pedal and was at WOT 30 seconds straight and my guess is that it went about 90. So, long story short, I plan to run about 10 lbs. of boost and want to get around 800 hp if at all possible. I think I can push that hull over 100 no problem. It weighs less than 500 lbs and with the right impeller/hp combo I should be able to obtain the triple digits.

100mph sounds very reasonable with 10lbs of boost in your boat. i want to go for a ride when its done man!

Are you going to run AV gas?

HBjet:
Are you going to run AV gas? At first I was going to run alcohol and leave my setup the way it is and just see if it holds up. Now, I have decided that I'm going to just run racing fuel (super blue) and go from there. I don't care for av gas as it designed to perform in an atmosphere with less oxygen. Also, I wanted to be able to put pump gas in it if I go waaaaay up river and need to fill up with shitwater. Anyway, those are my plans and we'll see if I send some pistons out the side of my block like a battleship cannon.

If you change the pistons and get close to 7, 7.5 to 1 10 psi wont be that hard on the motor. :D
