Mikey,
I resemble that!!
Ok I'll answer the question.
We run 48's but you can get away with 45's. With the small courses we run you dont want anything bigger than that. In Burley or Washington you can throw some more gear at it if you want. 52's or 54's work good or you can stick with the original 45-48's.
There!! Are you happy REXIE!!:D :D

I'm just ecstatic Mr Guru. So much so that I'm considering donning a Christmas Stocking Cap, turning on Jingle Bell Rock and dancing around in the front yard for a bit. Thanks

Whats typical horsepower in a K-boat?
By the way the K boat show at Phoenix was so awesome, I had it on my mind for a good day afterward.

The typical horspepower in a K varies a little. Pfaff Power by the King is probably 800-900hp Grose Power by Joey Grose will get into the 1600 range.:D
Seriously, they are all in the 1300-1500 range depending on how hard they are being overdriven on the blowers. I heard that Chuck Boyd's motor that Gordy built was over 1600 and that boat hauled ass.
Thanks for that long drawn out answer.
Jason, I have a set of 48's if you need some.

This should help satisfy your need for speed! Did you buy it with or without motor? I remember seeing it as a dimond in the rough. I know what you can do with it. When do we get to see what you are starting with.

Do you really feel 32's will be enough to get the job done?
I guess it's all a function of available power and wanting to run in the smoother water a lap or 2 down.

Um, arent you building a K boat to increase your state of manhood as you call it? And would cutting those locks of yours help that? Also if you got rid of your "pull string" it would increase your state of manhood.
