Pictures were really hard to get in the "shed" area! The boat is my usual style; lots of silver, pewters, blacks (subtle colors) with pearls; kinda like a high-end auto design.
The red pins are really dark cherry....look too red in the pictures (flash?)
Here are a few teasers, I expect to get some full side and top shots in a few weeks.
Thanks for looking:

The fourth picture looks sick:jawdrop: . I'm gonna have to go by DCB and take some pictures for you--- those are definite teasers.
I am a big fan of silvers, pewter and charcoal with white accents.
In the sun it should really "pop". I want to see the deck and the front sponsons.
Patience---remember custom takes time.
DCB is nothing but custom. I haven't seen too many boats come out of that shop that didn't impress:D .

Thanks ARA; bad pictures, i know...could not get good perspective..will take some in rigging!! She is very blinged-out... a bit on the crazy-lazer-pearl side but it will get attention for sure...no need for crazy circus colors (I do love your boat by the way!!)...let's do an Odar/Armo trip to Havi....that would be killer.....no Basterma (sp?) aloud!!! ;)

Too busy! Are you fu*king kidding me. You just drove 3+ hours to see YOUR boat that you spent probably $250,000 on and they can't take the time to roll the boat out and snap a few shots. I have a DCB and that really doesn't sit well with me. I hope this is not standard practice with these guys as I have bought my boat used so I haven't had any contact with them directly.

We are kicking around "Wicked Pearl" as the name as it is WAY pearlized (is that a word??)!!!

Let me clarify (wow, some real emotion here).....they were cutting the floor, working on the cooler openings, etc...they were TOO BUSY WORKING ON MY BOAT....not too busy to help me.....they have all been very cordial, professional, fun and attentive at DCB...no complaint here....do not want to give a bad rap to a great crew/company!

You are correct, Bryan sent some shots...we were at DCB to pick interior colors/design...boat looks way cooler in person...flashes ruin the red pins..makes them look too vibrant and bright...the pins are actually a deep red cherry burgundy-ish!!!

HB fans..thoughts on the new carbon fiber-look interior vinyl for boats....love it, hate it??? Will it go out of vogue??? Use it for all, some, accents???
We have done our priliminary interior design and have avoided the c-f look, went with 2-ton gray faux leathers, burgundy piping and perf. black inserts......
Any thoughts, opinions....smart-ass comments aside!!!

As common as white is, it's practical. I have silver (carbon fiber look) inserts and they get HOT!! Avoid color in the seating areas. Try to get as much white in those areas as possible. The seats don't look nearly as nice with towels covering them. Although I'm sure Dave will be glad to sell you some DCB logo'd towels for about $100 each.:D

Got it.....yes, they have already initiated project "towel upgrade"...I am not cheap but I assume I could get some towels embroidered in bulk for about $8 a piece.....maybe with our boat name on them in place of another logo-promo for our builder..just a thought:idea: :D

Let me know if you need some towels. I've got a buddy that does towels, hats, bags and just about anything else you would think to logo. He'll do colors to match the boat with your boat name or whatever you want.

Crappy sketch of the seat design (all new pattern):
http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc310/new2cats/seat2.jpg
Went with a medium gray "leather-like" material for the outer surround, a light gray super soft vinyl in "Quicksilver-oyster gray" for the body of the seat, dark red/brugundy to match pins on boat for the welts and black (ouch, my A$$) carbon fiber black for the insets.....all in black stitch!!!Should have named the boat "SOLAR PANEL"!!!!

Thanks....funny how you work so hard to design a bitchin' seat..then you buy custom towels to cover them!!!!! We sent 6 new silver-gray towels to Darla at DCB...she is going to have them embroidered for us...pretty cool service.
OFF SUBJECT-
Just for the record; YES, DCBs are way tooooo expensive considering they are still just fiberglass/composite and an engine BUT that point aside, we have been treated like royalty at DCB by the entire team....no disrespect intended but a much different buying experience than at the other places we have purchased custom boats from incl. Magic/Sleek & Howard...I know, I know....you get what you pay for! We have found that is not always true in the world of custom anything!!! Furthermore, they already have 90% of our $$$$$ so "payday" is not the motivation!
JMHO-:)

Belt buckles scratching the side, etc.

You have an obvious & good point. My Howards were at LA shows and Gene did a good job polishing and refurbishing back to original. My theory is this; boat show boats are the best-of-the-best a builder has to offer, right!? Although DCB seems to always do their best, it is logical to me that my "boat show" boat will be 110% of their capability. I will not cut the final check until the boat passes my "punch list, scratch, blemish test".....also, I realize she will get abused by my family and friends anyway so I am not that picky! From my experience, anything can be sanded, filled, gelled, buffed, replaced, resewn, recapitulated, reinvented....:D :)
I have torn enough seats and hit enough docks to know this first hand:confused: Even spilled an entire bottle of high-test octane boost on my BRAND NEW 30' Sleek Heritage first time out....set it on the hatch and it fell....DAHHHHH.....the Magic/Sleek guys laughed at me, cut the areas out and replaced....a quick $300 and I was on my way!!!!

Cool...I have had Gene, Mike, Bill, Paco and crew build me 2 boats (Bullets)...went everyday (until Gene kicked me out!!)....Simi to Valencia is an easy drive!
If ever you need me to pick up a part or something from the Willen boys or Teague, let me know, I can run North no problemo!!
Thanks.
