Am looking for a decent set of through the transom headers for my boat. Any help would be great. Thanks

Everyone including myself has a set of logs it seems like. I am sure someone has a set of headers thru the transom or knows where I can get a set. PLEASE. Thanks

73SLEEKCRAFT, Your best bet for thru-transom headers for the 455 is going to be to buy a new set. They haven't been available long enough for you to have much luck finding a used set. Remember, they are NOT for closed engine compartments.

I did not know they were not for closed engine compartments. Too much heat? I really appreciate that advice.

You are correct. They are not for closed engine compartments. I dont exactly know if its because of heat. I bought a nice used set of rewarder headers, then sold them because they are typically much wider than logs. I would not have been able to keep the engine cover and the 2 side seats in the back for the kids. The reason I wanted them was for the power and protect the kids from getting burned. But if you cant cover whats the point?

OLDSQUIRT, Thank you. You just saved me $600.00. I was ready to get them to increase hp. but if my cover does not fit.What is the use. Besides I think the 455 is wide enough already. Thanks again
