Eliminator Daytona project on Ebay.
The price seems a bit high ,but it may have potential.

Title says jet boat v-drive, then later says it was an old outboard:confused: You get three boats in one:D

Judging by this photo it looks like it was probably an outboard. No hole cut in the transom for a jetdrive or outdrive (unless patched over) and no log shaft pass through in the bottom. Looks like it might have had a outboard mount or jack plate bolted up where the two patches are either side of center (group of six holes on either side). Just a guess though. Also the hole cut in rear deck assuming pass through for fuel line, electrical etc for the outboard.
Didn't someone post up regarding problems switching outboard Daytonas over to jetdrives? Seem like it was due to bottom differences?

Talk about Rough!...those 1.5" stringers and gonna be rad with a "BBAnything" sitting between them!:D

that looks like a pretty lite layup with those stringers and it also looks like it has some reliefs in the center pod.

Those notched stringers could be a problem when trying to mount a motor in there like Todd said, they do that to get the interior low in the boat. There may be enough stringer there for a rail kit, hard to tell in the pics. The reliefs in the center sponson are nothing out of the ordinary. Could be a nice project boat for somebody, I would not be concerned about it being an outboard in the past other than the super thick transom.

how much cheaper do you want to buy or even FIND a true daytona project?? Have you seen what some guys ask for and older daytonas less motor all the time?? Talk about nuts.... much less the terrible colors alot came in. Maybe you should check before you say a few grand is crazy. I'm really surprised it's not sold.

do you think you could make it run 110mph and look new with a budget of say.....$13,500??? That wont include the price of the motor of course, just the hull, pump, interior and all the fixins to just drop a motor in and go. What year is your boat? Looks like a 1984.

you mentioned it was a light boat, surprised to see those big stringers in there. Have you thought about weighing it on a scale?
What are the fasteners coming through the side of the center sponson? post a pic of the bottom if possible, thanks.

I will only be running one seat.(center steer) Not much expense on interior. I'm planning on running in the high 120's.:2purples: Drag boat only. Super thin layup. Your real close on the money! But there is also the cost of restoring the trailer. $2500

Has been on a scale. 550lbs with a small amount of hardware. 25lbs? The stringers are only 1 inch wide. 1 and 1/2 thick transom. Did you notice the cutouts in the bulkheads. The hull is Kevlar, that's why the floor is yellow. There is some strange sh%$ going on with the bottom. That's all coming off. Looks like the makings of a possible blow over. Bolt-on lift..that's the second time i've seen that mod.
the first guy had a variant of those angles bolted to his keel and sponsons and told me it made the boat run dry as can be, but went no quicker. Interesting. glad to see someone trying new things. I wonder how well it worked on the wacker.

Wow i guess thats not uncommon to put that angle alum. down each tunnel, the nordic tunnel i sold was a outboard being converted to jet and it had the exact same angled alum. underneath.
