The correct answer is not what you stated.
The real reason Colorado Springs doesn't have a football team is because the Bronco's are so great they keep the entire state happy from Grand Junction to Pueblo we're all Bronco's fans and will be until the day we die!!
Plus the Springs does have a football team the Air Force Academy it's not NFL but it seems to keep the masses happy.
