One of the members here said that the tusks at the new Cabela's were from an elephant that his father, or friend???? took on a hunt. Can't remember who it is but they are up and I will get a pic for you. :D :D

The friend must be pretty old, importing ivory has been illegal for a long time.:)

Thanks for remembering!!!!!!!!! Yes it was a while back. My dad and I were on safari in East Africa in 1972 and shot this big bull elephant amoung other things. The 378 Weatherby actually did it. :D
I hope they got the plaque up too. Very kind of you to remember. Hot Boat is great! I owe you a beer or 3.
