Man, they got no clue. That's Eric Simon's rail he built back around 91 or so. 28psi boost on Alcohol. The motor would pin his dyno at 600hp. Not bad for a 190# engine huh? All about the power to weight. Started life as a 2.4 Bridgeport.
He told me the weak link were the half shafts. Had a Porsche 930 transaxle in it and it would shear the splines out of the hubs when it came on boost in 3rd gear. :sqeyes:

That is pretty amazing. Just like the Evinrude V8 in buggy from the thread the other day.

A buddy of mine here in boulder owns this car, here's a video of it on the dyno last saturday, 3.6L V8 Evinrude in a 4 seater. the thing sounds cool as hell.
