I've got a 15KW generator that was run on natural gas.Need to convert it to propane. Natural gas is not available.Local mechanics and propane dist. wont touch it because Calif. emissions.I have the natural gas regulator. Can it be modified? Can I do it myself? Any suggestions.

Don't know about generators but I've done several Kitchen ranges. Normally just a regulator change or adjustment and an orifice change.
I'd start by contacting the manufacturer and seeing if a conversation kit is available through them. Should be an easy DIY after that.
HTH YMMV

You need a conversion kit.

This is the solenoid/vaporizer unit you'll need.
