View Full Version : Nautical Inn! What Do You Think?

I've read mixed comments on this board regarding nautical.
When the wife and kids are with me we stay at our house on the south side.
When it's the big boy’s trip, it is on. Nautical is hands down the best place to stay in havasu. Well, unless you like to go to sleep early and you don't drink. Ya the rates are hi but I think it’s worth it.
Keep the boat in the water, go from the boat to the Turtle, turtle to the resturant, resturant to the boat ETC all night long. GOOD TIMES! ALLWAY AN ADVENTURE
I CAN'T WAIT FOR APRIL!

I like the Nautical, but after the last two regattas I prefer staying at the London Bridge. I like keeping my boat in a slip instead of out on the beach. I think the rooms are nicer too as well you can walk to the different places to eat and to the Red Room and Kokomos if you want. JMO

I think it's a shithole with dated rooms, but, stil a very fun and convenient place to stay.

That pretty much sums it up. Shit hole rooms and Belagio prices. The cove is flat out nasty, I'd be surprised if you didn't end up with bed mites. The beach suites are a thousand times better but still not worth 250+ a night. It is convienent though...............

Exactly.
I can tell you horror stories about reservation mixups, air condioning not working, and being electrocuted by a faulty lamp...
...but it's still better than messing with a 10,000lb boat that is 45' on the trailer at another hotel or house.

I would disagree. Considering what you are paying to buy the timeshare. You dont even get a full kitchen, and its a studio! We have a timeshare in Carlsbad, overlooking the ocean from EVERY room, 2 bedrooms, kitchen, and is about 10 years old for less than what they want. I would rather own a house out there, and deal with the short lines on the off weekends, and stay home on the holiday weekends. Besides the holidays are reserved for gang bangers, and 13 year old porn stars, I dont want to be around that.

They are much nicer now. The newer side has had a complete remodel and they are decent now. 42" LCD, new carpet, new paint etc.
The cove rooms still suck.

Just because you own a boat that is more aerodynamic backwards than forwards- don't hate.

Hell, you could probably even pick up a few MPH on the water driving it in reverse.
Don't hate- congratulate.

The good thing about HH and Magic34 being in Havasu is that they raise the water level high enough for the rest of us to make it up river to the sandbar. You two resin bucket owners keep up the good work.:)

Let's just hope that the water level doesn't get too high on your Chopper Guncraft...
...those fingerpaint graphics put on by a 5 year old may not hold up so well.

Do you launch that big boat there? There used to be a hole at the end of the pavement on the ramp that people would get stuck in...........

They actually filled the hole with a bunch of gravel. But after that, we had trouble with the trailer backing into the gravel mound at the end...lol.
Even with the water as low as 446' I still retrieve with no problems. I think it helps that with the triples- I can have two axles off the ramp and still get it out. I just need to go right down the middle.
If I had a stepped hull and had to go deeper, it might be a different story.

I have stayed in both the condos and the regualr crappy rooms and the beach suites the only thing good about the Nautical is the convienience of the Launch Ramp and you could leave your boat parked in the water overnight. Stayed in the condos and the damn Crap truck came around two in the morning and starting sucking out the septic tanks that were conveniently placed two doors down from me and it smelled like crap for about a good hour called the front desk and complained they did nothing. Then I stayed in the cove in a suite and my room got ransacked from the tweeker security guards that they have and none of the locks worked on the doors in 3 rooms that they transferred me to you could just push them open without needing a key it was a Known problem but they did not bother to fix it I felt like I had to sleep with one eye open just to be safe and all they did to compenate me was offer me some crappy Buffet at their new sports bar where a roach flew on my brother while he was eating. Also I was staying there with a group of people and the dumb lady at the front counter gave my cousin the wrong room number so she ended up walking in on some lady that was already staying in that room think about if it was you and some stranger just walks in your room unannounced. The Nautical has a lot of roblems that need to be fixed but the only thing they have going for them is the convienience of the launch ramp and beach parking. The London bridge is 10 times better and much cleaner and security is way better there as well the Nautical did not want to take any responsibility for their faulty locks on the door. Luckily all my valuables I had with me and in my truck

That happened to us at the Food Drive Poker Run. I think we had the wedding party next to us. They must have had 15 people in the room and one loud mouth biotch that wouldn't shut her mouth until 4 in the morning. We called the front desk several times, I had our 11 year daughter in the room and she had to here the foul language all night...........

Any hotel with class wouldn't allow that crap after a reasonable hour. Only at the Nautical.... The main reason why we always rent houses when we go to LHC. We usually get a two or three couples and rent something nice for 200/300 hundred a night. You can rent a new 4bdrm house for less than 300 a night and launch at Cattail with out any hassles. Here's who I rent from, and they take really good care of us.

They fixed the ramp. The hole is gone. I launched my boat there in November when the water was even down a bit. No problem.

We started renting houses also. The only way to go, especially when you find a good one and keep going back.
