It's just you. Having a signature style/sound isn't the same thing as all their shit sounding the same. JMO.

I guess it's just because I don't like them, so when I hear a Metallica song I immediately think "terrible" and turn it off.

That's good news. They're one of my all time favorite bands. I didn't care for the St. Anger album either. I'm hoping they get back to their old style of kick ass rock music.

Fair enough. :) There are plenty of bands I do that also if I hear their songs play. If it's Metallica - I turn it up, not off! :D

Just an FYI that was the same hype that was going around before St Anger.
I personally love Metallica but only the music made pre-Black Album. Thrash Metal forever!!

Gotta love it all. Heavy, melodic, all Metallica. Their music is leaps and bounds better than most anything out there. Even if you don't like that kind of music, you have to give them credit as artists. It's unique in my opinion. Maybe I'm just biased.

Thank God! After the debacle of St. Anger I started to wonder if they were going to try Rap next.

One of my favorite bands of all time. I'd love to love metallica again, but I pretty much lost all hope after Load and Re-load sucked such eternal ass. Like a wise man once said, it's gotta be hard to write songs about teen angst when you sitting around the pool at your multi-million dollar mansion sipping martinis. I have liked a few of their newer tracks here and there so maybe there is hope.

Judas Priest invented metal.
Another favorite band of all time, but I can't even listen to any of that shit they made without Halford, it's fukin terrible. The last album with Halford back was much better, not great, but way better. I don't care how gay the man is, if he needs a dick up his ass to hit those high notes, so be it, it still rocks, let him sing.:D

I wouldn't go as far as to say judas P. invented metal but they had a good part.
Everything after load I thought was more or less junk, didn't really care for it, hopefully they go back to ride the lightning, and justice for all, etc. They lost it when they lost they're hair and everyone jumped on the mettalica bandwagon but I think they still got it.
Did anyone see their DVD? It was nothing but them crying too eachother it seemed like, it definetly was not what i had thought it would be. Dave mustaine story is pretty nuts how he jacked up his whole hand and had to learn to play geetar all over again.

Judas Priest invented metal.
I have to call BS on this one man... Toni Iomi and Black Sabbath invented Metal... Priest made it theatrical.
