I have a set of Iron Eagle 308 marine heads,that are going on a 1999 -502 MPI engine. I would like to know if the push rods have to replaced.

You need to check the geometry and really change the pushrods if it has 5/16" or the welded ball type pushrod. A good 1 piece pushrod set will run you around $160 shipped to the door and is well worth the piece of mind.
