The owner claims is not an Eliminator Daytona Tunnel and is not a picklefork.

Should be able to tell if it's an Eliminator by the vin#

I will try and get the VIN # to check it out. All I can do is go by what the owner said. I have pictures and it is not a picklefork tunnel.

There was a manufacturer named Daytona but I'm not sure if they made a tunnel. Maybe a mod style though, like Cheetah has.

Daytona boats, from what I was told, were made in Huntington Beach. I had a 12' model from them. It was a regular little runabout, slight v. I know they made a 16 and 18 as well. Sangster here on the boards bought mine - not sure if he researched the company.

Thanks. The one I am going to look at is on a triple axel trailer so can only assume its life was going to be started as a jet but this one has an outboard on it.

Thanks for the info. Not really sure what this boat is then. It says Daytona Tunnel on the side of it and the owner claims is NOT a Eliminator Daytona Tunnel.

If your lucky it might be a DCB daytona... DCB used to take bare eliminator hulls, rig them the DCB way and sell them as dcb daytonas..... the old Daytona boat company was located on beach Blvd in Huntington beach and to the best of my knowledge did not make a tunnel hull

If I knew how to post pictures I would post them. Was DCB around in 1988?

It sounds like a make called Daytona. I think they were a dealer that expanded into boat builder. They had boats ranging from 19 to 26 ft. But it's not an Eliminator or Dcb.

The guy that owned Daytona Boats comes into my shop somtimes. He closed down Daytona Boats I believe in the late 80's or early 90's. He now owns a trucking company. His name is Robert Long. He did tell me he is going to get back into the boat mfg. business and they will be called Daytona Boats. He told me he was tooling a cat and a v-bottom. I have not seen him in a while to ask how the plugs are coming along.
