I'm pretty sure I saw speed coat in my Eddie marine catalog the other day. I bet rex would have it also.

I got mine from Rex Marine. Go for it but wear a respirator if you're spraying in a shop. That stuff is NASTY........Stinky

Rex has it. And you can roll it on. It is a mixture of graphite and Acetone. Mask off the bottom, wipe it down and roll away. OPEN AIR, not in a closed area!!!....Oh, be VERY sure of your tiedowns for the trailer, a fresh coat of that stuff is like trying to tiedown an ice cube. If you have real nice carpet on the bunks you might want to protect them for the first few times you haul the boat, they will be gray very soon otherwise..........MP

I get mine at Grainger. I believe I paid $7.00 per spray can (slip plate).
Two is enough to do half a boat bottom (good for a couple coats). I buy three using
two on the bottom and keep one for touch ups as it does wear off.
Where to buy (http://www.slipplate.com/States/MN.htm)

Only thing speed coat is good for is killing fish. Not worth it. Just use gel coat

I bet our team was the first to use speed cote on a high speed boat and we had no idea what was in it. Sail boats were using it and we thought well if it helps at 20 knots it must surely help 100MPH. That stuff probably destroyed a couple of million brain cells...or that could have been from the stuff we ingested at Bluewater after practice. Once applied we color sanded and buffed it out while still on the trailer. I still have pretty good pecks from working that stuff out thirty years ago upside down over my head.
