It was very cool finally finding this site, but...I also found fresh empty Bud Light cans. This site is not known to many people and by the looks of it, the cans were deposited fairly recently! WTF!!!!! Some people just have no respect for nature!!!

I'm still able to view the pics.
That's because you probably have them hosted and linked to your hard drive. You gotta upload them, and then link to the uploaded photos.

No...I wasn't able to find anything else, but...I compared my engine pics to that from a post made here in November of this year and the location and general look of the engine don't seem to be exactly the same. Maybe there are two different spots? Also...noone had ever made reference to the tire...which was about a 1/2 mile up from the engine.

Very cool. I've never seen the tire. How much further was it up the canyon?

Seemed like another 1/2 mile or so. Had to climb up a couple would-be waterfalls. Scenery & varied terrain was worth the exhausting hike!

Looks like it rained a lot out there since we were out in November. The engine was completely exposed then. Supposedly there's alot more of the wreck at about the 3500' level. Sucks about the beer cans, some peeps forget several service men died there.

I went up almost to the same level as the tower and little building on the left side (well beyond the locked gate)...I figure about another 1/2 hour would have brought me to the very top. I did not see anything more. Re: men who died there...I've heard from more than one longtime local source that the perceived "mystery" about this site originated to shrowd the circumstances surrounding the crash...which were along the lines of the military had illegals flying this and other retired planes to the boneyard in Kingman to save a few $. In fact, according to legend, an id bracelet (or other sort of id) was found there and it was Mexican in origin.

Cool beans! Guess you can't always rely on local "legends".
I know a guy with a helicopter who was excited about searching for the F104. I just heard from sigepmock, who had posted his pics of a B25 engine, but his route was way different than the route I took. So maybe there are two???

Very cool! Are there maps to these locations or just from talking to people.
That tire looks in pretty good condition for being there since 1945.
Thanks for the pics
