View Full Version : How do i find the value of this trailer

Ok so i have to go to the DMV to register my trailer and they tell me there is a 3% road ussage tax..
I have my VIN. How do i look up the value of the trailer?

If you're referring to a regular "boat" trailer, go to the rear pages of an NADA
guidebook if the trailer is newer than 1992 or to the NADA "older marine" guidebook if it was built before 1992. Or online at www.nadaguides.com
and do it on their site. All you need to know is the number of axles and the
year that it was built and they'll give you "their" value. This is the same method that the DMV's would use if you were there standing in front of them
trying to register it.

thanks guys. I actually called the DMV. they estiamte its worth 100 bucks and will charge me 3 whole dollars. i am not complaining but where do they find these numbers? Oh well that works for me.. thanks guys.
