HULL, PUMP ,TRAILER????

If anyone has any info about a 18-21' jet boat (any cond.) for sale, a friend is looking for a project with those spec.s
He's pretty open to different boat models, just wants to get wet!!

Take it from me if he is looking for those requirements, he will not be getting wet for awhile. I bought a boat as a project boat and ended up replacing a transom, rebuilding a jet pump, and getting a new rebuilt motor. You will come out way ahead getting a boat that is turn key. When I say turn key, make sure you get in the boat, turn the key, and takeoff. Project boats can get very expensive. I like my boat a lot, in Texas there are not a lot of choices on jet boats so you get whats available, supply and demand issues. I am not sure where "Roland Heights" is but If you live in California, you have many more options. Buying a boat that is already running good will keep him busy enough.

well dg, my friend knows what he wants in these req. and is not going to settle for a complete pile of shit, but wants to get into something, i think that will occupy some of his time spent in the garage!! im sure that we all can kinda in some way or another agree with what he is trying to obtain!
we have been looking for a while and seem to come up with shit!!! i just fig. with so many connect's in this forum, maybe someone would be able to "help a brutha out" so,...if anything is for sale , "POST-IT"!

That 18' Eliminator sans motor sure seems like the ticket. That way, he gets a solid boat and gets to build up a kick ass motor. Sounds like the best of both worlds to me.
But, maybe that's just me.

Your comment is justified. A new blank is $7K. That's for glass and molding only. Of course on a new hull the gel would be current graphics and done to customer spec. Mine has new stringers, carpet, gauges & fills. Also has MPD modified setback intake with ride plate/shoe/cradle & fiberglas T/A. I'll consider less but I have to start somewhere. I plan to rig a new one so I'd like to keep my trailer.

T/A = Transom Adapter. The intake is installed further back than the stock position on the keel. Improves performance and provides a little more interior room. The extended T/A is used to replace the stock T/A.

No motor mounts. The stringers are new and have not been drilled. I had a 468 in it in 1995 (last time it saw the water) Mounts were sold on these boards sometime last year. I will build a rail kit for it if I end up keeping it.
I also have this little old-school jewel for sale. Good project boat.

1972 SKV 20.5', fresh Jacuzzi WJ with diverter (no control). New carpet, new floor, seats are original but good shape. No Engine, had an Olds at one time, Hull is good but gel is faded. Original fuel tank was fiberglas and was replaced with a pair out of an Ultra. Has a little cushioned berth under the deck too, which is always a good thing. Tandem trailer with brakes $3500.00

Scotten uses Competitive trailers but I'm sure you can use any trailer manufacturer.
I agree, capped boats look great but you have to be oh so careful. Scotten will supply a capped boat but not sure about price.

I have a 73 Spectra20 JCberk manual place diverter, (needs cable) 455 olds (cracked exaust manifold, water in #1 cylinder, bent rod,) Engine is out of boat. bikini top. Boat is blue and white. (has surface stress cracks,needs paint/gell) Interior is decent. Fhotographics trailer.
Make offer.
I will put it on ebay in one week.
