496Ho with CMI headers

Anyone her ever done it. I know it increases the ponies a little. But the big question is how much better does it sound????? What about DB's how much more??

I just bought a new Sleek with a 496 and I put CMI headers on it and I can tell a little difference in the power, sounds great, not much louder in the boat but a little deeper sound is all. sounds like a 525.

How long have you had them? Did you put them on yourself? Any leaks?

I have had the boat out about 5 times and no problems. I had Sleek put them on before I picked up the boat. It is a new boat.

Tim, go with the 525's. Don't let Louie talk you into the 496's. Get full hydraulic at the same time too, don't skimp out on the cable assist. Did you sell the other one yet?

Tim, CMI's are agreat..as I like to say, they will hear you long before they see you......and do the 525's if you can swing them, otherwise, I have been told the 496ho's with whipple are nice also...sage advice about the full hydraulics mentioned above...best....B

We will be taking the trailer up on next Thursday the 1st. We have it reserved for 2 months.
They give you an ID card. The employees dont think it will work. The first big weekend it will bust. They like selling gas, beer and crap. This wont last. They would have to have security everywhere if they didnt want people parking on the docs. I actually want to see them try, with a few beers I think it might be fun to watch on a big weekend.

I have had my truck for 7 months and it only has 1,200 miles on it because I dont want to give my money to the oil guys. I just couldnt believe they were selling it for $2 a gallon or less in Mexico. These oil guys are just saying F... The US consumer. :mad: :mad:
