note the raised engine, and the turbulent water behind, we got towed;
http://www.***boat.com/image_center/data/500/2349cat_lobster_crab_024.jpg
We had to get towed in from eighteen miles out. the cost -$625.00. When we got to the dock the Fish and Game warden was there to meet us. We miss measured two of the lobsters and he wrote us up. When we raised the outboard there was a hole in the lower unit. This crab & lobster will costly meal but it's damn good. The lobster were less than a Quarter inch short each.

Wait till you see the bail on that ticket! :supp:
I got a ticket for not having my fishing license on me (had it at home) and the bail on that ticket was $675. Brought the lic w/ me to the judge....he let me off w/ a $10 ppwork processing fee.

The Warden said he thought it would be about $ 50.00- ya right - my guess is $550.00 I'll find out in the mail soon. The ticket will be split two ways but i took the fall-since the warden gave us the option.

Get ya a kicker motor. You can find them used for 500 or so. Never pay for a tow again.
Nice Crab.

He must have lost a battle with something since he was missing a leg on one side.

what a blast that was, not too cold out, lotta stars. Next time we're gonna drop an anchor, drop some hoops, drop some goose down, pull up some bugs and cook them right there!

looks like a spider crab seen them diving before.As for the undersize lobster never got a ticket if in doubt let the lobster go.I have been checked out at least 4 times.NO dgf ticket is cheap 2 times i had barely met the minimum size on a fish and a lobster i knew i was fine before i got checked but very close both times warden said it doesnt get any closer than this
I went diving last sat night and saw a shetload of lobster lots of undersize.Been at least a year and a 1/2 since i last went and went solo this time.Usually have a good eye for legal first 4 grabs tried measuiring looked legal but came up 1/4 short(was odd to me).Said f this and went in found one in 10 ft of water took time to measure it was legal(looked the same as others i let go)figured out i was measuring wrong others would have been legal trying to hold dive light,lobster and use guage tied to grab bag

That was our first lobster catch. We measured them wrong. we included their horns in the measurement and thats gonna cost us.

well it wasn't one of us, but whatever it was musta been bigger, cause just pullin those legs off to cook them was a wrestling match! Breakin them open AFTER cooking took a steel hammer and a lotta noise :confused:
