This is a 1975 Sanger superjet the hull looks to be in good shape. The registrations says 87 was the last time in the water. The trailer is a piece of shit http://www.***boat.com/image_center/data/520/709DSC01728-med.JPG

my 2 cents...that is a super hull...if its been sitting that long...he will prob take next to nothing for it...trailer can be cleaned up and re-painted...a warm 454 or 502 BBC...and pump...if it doesnt have one and ur ready to fly

It has about $600 in diverter parts on it.
Buy it if you want it, boats are not an investment....

For Speed or Family Fun SANGER is the One (Quoted from a Sanger Ad)No Motor? I would Start At $500.00 Your Just Buying a Hull, Trailer has no Value.

check the bottom of the hull for damage. you'll want to make sure that the reason the boat is just sitting is because there's not engine, not because there's a big hole in the bottom of it. East Coast winters are very hard on boats too. The fiberglass gets real weak once it sits outdoors and freezes and then thaws in the spring. Check everwhere for stress cracks.

I'm gonna be driving through your town Sunday afternoon. Been about 6 years since I was up there last (from Escanaba). Don't know if I'll be able to cope with all that greenery. I saw where it was only 62 degrees yesterday. It's 112 out here in Zonyland. I'm ready for some cool weather.
It looks to be in pretty good shape (from the pictures anyway). Can't hardly go wrong with a Sanger. I'd have to agree with 1Bahner and offer him the $500.
I'd also have to agree with Brian on this point.

Brian I laugh everytime I see one for sale that says $20,000 invested asking $12,000. If it doesn't make ya money, it's not an investment.

Well Hoss I think Southwinds are great boats too.Though they do not have full length stringers(though the Sangers do) unless it is a Tunnel Dragster.Never the less great boats. The Mayflower come on now,That is apples and oranges you cant put a jet boat in the same class as a sail boat.

Its worth $500.00.
Not all Sangers had full lenght stringers, some of the jets had motor boxes.
Sorry, SPECTRA's are the best looking ***boats of the alltime, Sangers are a close second.

That is 3 stringers too many Hoss Ok it could have a keel stringer what are the other 2 for?
Jake

Keel, edge of floor(curved full length of floor), and following rake off keel.
I wanted all the support I could get. Hull was smacked by log resulting in basketball sized hole. The force of the water blasted up the floor. Kinda don`t want that to happen again. :D
