HOW TO GET A Numeric IP FROM URL

I'm trying to find out the numeric ip of my url. How is this done??

If you are using win2k or XP go to the command prompt. Type nslookup, then enter. Your DNS server will report. Type "your URL", then enter. The IP address that your DNS server knows the URL as will be displayed.

Click on start then run, then type ping www.your url.com. (ping www.yahoo.com) it will show the IP, but might not be the actual IP due to DNS errors, virtual IP etc
