I want to know what carburetors you would recommend for my Weiand (1985) dual tunnel ram intake on this motor that makes 500HP plus?
I have a BBC 454 (100 over) with Isky z-55 solid cam .590 lift, 3500-7500 RPM range. It is in my 18' Bubble jet with a B impeller. I know I want HolleyÂ’s but some say two 660's center squirts other say go with two 750cfm HP carburetors and have them worked. Mech sec is a must. I want single feed fuel inlets unless recommended other wise.
I currently have two 1850's that are older 4150/4160 I have been told. They are 600cfm each with Vac sec. I am concerned that they are limiting my motor a little. ??? The Vac sec are not wanted.
Any kind of recommendations or advice would be great.

Vacuum secondaries are not the way to go with tunnel rams. As for my vote on the best tunnel ram carbs? I choose built Holley 660 center squirters. Been doing a lot of people right for a long time.

call Jesse at Bigs Performance, he'll be happy to tell you which way to go. Bigs has been in business building carbs for 40 some odd years, great guy too!

2 600 dp's will run your motor along with the 2 660's, either will work fine. The 660's linkage is a little cheaper to buy. 2 750's will be over kill, thats 1500cfm when actually a single worked 750 will run the motor.

Thanks for your suggestions. I think the 660Â’s is what I am going to look for and it will allow me to use the linkage I already have with the 600 Vacs.
