I saw them at the boat show and was not impressed. They looked good from far but are far from good imo. They seemed very flimsy and did not retract very smoothly if at all.

aqua steps are well built and function as they should. A "hidden" step IMO looks better than a ladder off the back (unless it's concealed)

The Aqua Step works great.

My nextstep doesn't work at all. Bolts are always coming loose. Forget about getting it to retract like it is supposed to. Kids are learning to remember to bring it up before we take off.

Not... good . if you leave it down couldn't it rip out . did you contact nexstep to see if they would repair or replace it for you ?

It hasn't ripped out, I think I might have only driven with it down once or twice. The guy who builds them also builds the new Richcraft deckboat. I had my boat at the Powerboat Deckboat shootout the same day he had his deckboat there in Parker this year. I happen to see the Nextstep on his boat, asked him if he liked it, he said,"I love it, I build them too." I said, "Great! help me with mine!" I gave him my info after he looked at it and never heard from him again.

so much for customer service . I assume the one you have he made . When your starting a new product line , your first customers are vey important as they will either say they had a positive experience or a negative one , in your case it sounds negative . Not a good advertisment for the product.

I bought my boat new and it was already on it. I'm thinking of putting another one on the other side of my swim step.

I may have a problem bolting it on . My boat has a built in step and as i understand the instructions for installation , you need to be able to bolt thru the hull , is this correct ? I don't see a way to do it on my boat
