402 bbc, 9.5-1 comp, 292 cam with .460 lift, oval port, roller rockers, perf. 2.0 manifold, 750 double pumper, fully blueprinted and balanced, stock hei, wet through transom. the machine shop said close to 500 no problem, I find this hard to believe. This is going in a 19' day cruiser with a berkley jet. any thoughts? or suggestions? what potential speed could I expect with proper tuning? I was hoping to at least be able to do 50

I would have guessed 350 to 380, he says more, just as long as I can go close to 50, the cam is a custom grind

500 seems a tad bit optimistic, but that sounds similiar to the stock Indmar 454 I had in my boat...(as far as the camshaft) It had plenty of grunt, but my boat is only 16 ft. My friend had a 21 ft jetboat with a stock 460 that will top out at 55, so you should be right in there. (stock mine would do 70)
