jet boat problems

I just bought 1977 glastron cv23 with a 460 ford. It has performer intake,holley 600 carb, berkley jet drive, prestolite single point distributer. I am wanting to change out the points distributer for newer electronic without breaking the bank. Was told the boat was ready to go when i bought it. but about $600 dollars later it still aint running!! please HELP

The least expensive upgrade would be to convert your existing dist to an electronic. I think petronix has a kit for your application.
