Hey all I just found the forum and it looks like there is some great info to be found. I have a 21' Ultra and I live in Westminster,CA. My boat is all stock and i'm ready to start some mods. I have a Dominator jet with a Marine Power 320hp motor. Where to start is really the Question? I have a couple thousand to spend on it this season any help would be great. Thanks

Welcome to the liquid jungle(as someone else once said), If your boat is like mine that "couple thousand" will be like water in your fingers. :D :D

Welcome aboard mate. If you have $2000 you should start with the motor. Find a reliable engine builder and he will be more that happy to burn thru that 2 grand. I am assuming your pump and boat and trailer is in good shape. You can't beat the thrill of more speed. Well, maybe one thing beats it.

a pump blueprint will get you your best gains esp effeciency then go to the motor next

RiverReady I'd say the best bang for the buck would be one of the"Top Thunder"kits from Westech Performance.Includes a hydraulic roller cam, intake, sea demon carb and MSD ignition all matched to your application. That together with a set of lightning headers would get you close to 100 hp gain with very little work.Just go to the westech website and search for marine parts.

Here is my 1998 - 21ft Ultra open bow improvements going on right now. Still have to get the interior back in. Hope to have it back together by Memorial Day weekend. A bit more than $2000 though. I like HighRoller's suggetions, but the Lightning headers are close to $1600 alone.

I talked to Westech and they don't sell there Top Thunder kits anymore, they said because of slow sales. Does any body know of a reliable company that I can get i good carb, intake, cam combo that they know is a good set up for my motor. Thanks,
Justin
