Need some help for an old carb man. I just purchased a 99 312 fastech Formula with 502 mags MPI..Never messed with MPI before.... Boat rocks but have noticed that from idle up through the throttles that the right motor lags about 600 -800 rpm when the Livorsey throttle levers are even.
From dead idle the right throttle will click up twice before motor starts to respond and linkage moves. Left its right away.. I realize this may just be a cable adjustment... But where and how???????
Will be at Norris Lake TN the weekend of the 27th on a man weekend YEAAA flag us down White 312 Formula with teal stripes fellow hot boaters. Will pop a cocktail and talk MOTORS/POWER and LACK OF CASHHHHHHH

nova1,
Have you checked the throttle linkage on the motors? If you advance the throttles to the same position and the throttle linkage on the motors is not the same, you need to replace one of the cables. If you can find someone that has a scan tool this makes it easy by checking the TPS percentage. Hope this helps!

Is there an adjustment at the linkage on the motor?

Yes. Depending on what cable it is, you can screw in or out the end or the barrel. Once you take the cable off you will be able to see how to adjust it.
