The proposal for Windsor is based on matching funds. See below:
NORTH RAMP

-Will they happen? This winter. The extent is up to us.
- What do we have to do? Raise money!
The extension of the South ramp and a portion of the North docks are already funded. If we raise $15,000, the 1:3 matching grant that is available will bring the total to $60,000. That is enough to build the North docks out to 240 feet! And start replacing the South docks.
The next $10,000, which with the grant totals $40,000, will build over 50% of the South ramp concept drawing. Since the docks are modular, sections will be added as the money comes in. EVERY DOLLAR WILL GO TOWARDS THE DOCKS!
In order to build out all of this, Game and Fish needs to know how many dollars we have raised by December1. So time is critical! In order to raise these funds, the Marine Association is undertaking two action plans:
- BEER AND BRATS PARTY AT BOAT BROKERS NOVEMBER 19! This will replace our monthly meeting for November. Food and beer is donated so we will not be charging admission etc. We will have a silent auction and raffle off prizes including a small sailboat. We will even have live music! Of course, donations are encouraged! More details to come!
- Mailers and E Mails by our members to their customer list is also encouraged. We will be sending a mailer to the 1500 annual pass holders at Windsor as well, thanks to Ranger Tim. If all our members invite and or notify anyone they know who uses Windsor, we may be able to raise enough money to do all of the docks in the concept drawings. What a difference that will make!
REMEMBER. $25 EQUALS $100 WITH THE GRANT. IF 1000 WINDSOR USERS WOULD CONTRIBUTE $25, THE MATCHING GRANT WOULD GENERATE A TOTAL OF $100,000, ENOUGH TO TO NEARLY BUILD OUT THE ENTIRE CONCEPT!
If you can't attend the Dock Party, send us a check for $25, or more if you can. We have a chance to really make a difference. Lets do it!
