hi guys,
pretty much a newbie here. One question about the cavitation reducer, I am looking into getting one. I am familiar with the one dons pump has but was told there is a billet one made in CA somewhere that is supposed to be alot nicer and cheaper. Any body have one of these or are they all the same?
any info would be great.

I've been running a DPS unit since they first came out.I've probably installed 50 + .They have worked on everything we have ever put them in.They run $369 and usually about $50 to cut the shaft. All my pump rebuilds include turning the shaft for the cav reducer, whether we install one or not. This way,if the customer decides to go with one later on,we don't have to pull the pump all the way down.I always chuck the shaft up in the lathe anyway to check for runout,so it's no big deal to turn it.
