Mohave Valley...Marina Coves

Hey all...
Just curious if anyone on this site hangs in the Mohave Valley area during river season? Just bought a vacation house in Marina Coves across from Jack Smith and the Needles Marina on the AZ side...We have some friends in the area but would love to meet some new ones, maybe even some neighbors?

I am out there every other weekend during boating season. It is a good spot. You have casinos, restaruants etc to play in. I am at Willow Valley just about 8 miles upriver. It can be tricky on the water but once you learn the river it is no problem. Good luck.

From there!!! My oldman lives in Mohave Valley. We hang out at a beach just south of the AVI called Long Beach. It's a local beach real nice!!! Shoe tournaments every weekend!!! Family oriented!! You should swing up there some time!!

Thanks for the replies. We have been hanging out there for some time now...Probably 4 years? My buddy has a house in willow off of Green Valley, we have always stayed with him, so we're used to Long Beach and the trickiness of that stretch of river.
This new place has rights to a private launch just across from the Needles Marina, so it should be be pretty deep water from there to the Sandbar and Havasu.
Thanks for the introductions, would love to meet up with you guys this summer. We're gonna be out there in the winter too riding quads, maybe we could meet up for drinks with you guys and the Mrs.'s sometime?

Green Valley, I know that area pretty well!!! I like it to be honest. I've lived there since 1980, don't remember much, still shitin in diapers then!! Anyways, we'll have to meet up one these days. I actually had to move/transfer when they shut down Mohave but we are up there at least 3 times a month. I currently reside in Quartzsite. Brought the median age down to 66 from 70!!:D

If you are referring to the gated ramp just north of River Terrace Estates be careful do to the current. Jack Smith is much easier to deal with.

heres a picture of the house and some of the boats that will be floating out front when were there, this house is a total party house with a huge game room and bar,dance floor,you wouldn,t believe it you just have to stop by,,,,will be out there next weekend 19 and 20 ,if you guys are out there stop by and say hello the adress is 1065 dike road north side of needles bridge,,i,m the big bald guy driving the boat,,,i,m darryn,my buddies name is doug,if not next weekend hope to meet you guys in the summer,,,,,,

I actually close Escrow on the 17th and should be out there that weekend getting settled in...Will you guys be on the water or just at the house?

as long as it ain,t raining will be resetting the morring blocks out in the cold cold water while the waters still low so we will probley be on the beach or up in the garage,if anything changes before then i,ll let you know but as it stands we should be out there thursday afternoon untill saturday morning,,,,in the winter we usually are out there once a month for general maintinance,,,,,
